Privacy policy

Cart or Wait? (cartorwait.com) shows whether discounted Steam games are worth buying now, based on public price data. We collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• No accounts. There's no sign-up, no login and no profile.
• We don't set cookies or run analytics ourselves. If we show ads, ad partners may use cookies — see below.
• Server logs. The site runs on Cloudflare, which may briefly process IP addresses, request times and browser types to protect the service. We don't use this to identify you. (Cloudflare privacy policy)

Ads and cookies

• We may show ads through Google AdSense to cover running costs. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings, and opt out of other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
• US state privacy rights. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted ads. When ads run, an opt-out choice is offered on the site. We never sell anything we collect ourselves — we don't collect it.

Third-party data

Game prices, reviews and screenshots come from Steam (Valve); price history from IsThereAnyDeal; compatibility reports from ProtonDB (ODbL). This is public data about games, not about you.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
